EÜ Kağıt ve Kitap Sanatları Müzesi dünya kültür tarihinin son 2000 yılının vazgeçilmez
demirbaşları kağıt ve kitabın uzun soluklu yolculuğunu farklı kültürlerden örneklerle
ziyaretçilere sunan, bilgi ve görselleriyle her eğitim düzeyindeki öğrencilere seslenen
bir müzedir. Türkiye’de ilk olmasının yanı sıra konunun bu boyut ve zenginlikte ele
alındığı bir üniversite müzesi olarak da uluslararası alanda benzersiz konuma sahiptir.
Üniversitemizin eski Levanten köşklerinden 19. yüzyılın Ballian Konutu’nda, eski ve
moderni bir araya getiren müze, alt katında kağıdı, üst katında kitabı konu ederken,
800’den fazla objeye yer vermektedir.
Pazar ve Pazartesi günleri hariç, her gün saat 9.00 – 17.00 arası açıktır.
Ege University Museum of Paper and Book Arts exhibits the long lasting voyage of paper
and book, which are indispensable assets of the world cultural history during the last
2000 years with examples from different cultures of the world. The information and visual
objects the museum offers address students of all educational levels. Apart from being a
first in Turkey, it also has an unprecedented international status as a university museum
handling art in such great diversity and richness.
The museum combines the old and the modern in the 19-century Ballian House, one of
the Levantine mansions of Ege University. The ground floor houses paper works, while the
upper floor is allocated to books. The museum where more than 800 objects are exhibited
is open from 09:00 to 17:00 every weekday except Sundays and Mondays.
