EÜ Atatürk Kültür Merkezi, kentimize kazandırılan ilk kültür merkezidir ve 5 Ocak 1980
tarihinde hizmete açılmıştır. Merkez, gerek Ege Üniversitesi’nin gerekse İzmir ve çevresinin
bilimsel ve sanatsal etkinliklerinin yapıldığı önemli bir tesistir. Merkezde 652 ve 624 kişilik iki
büyük salon, 340 kişilik tiyatro salonu, küçük çaplı sergilerin açılabileceği Ege Sanat Salonu ve
kırkar kişilik üç seminer salonu ile resepsiyonların yapılabileceği 800 kişilik geniş fuayeler ve
resim, seramik ve heykel sergilerinin yapılabileceği 470 m
2
lik sanat galerisi bulunmaktadır.
SALONLAR
AHMED ADNAN SAYGUN SANAT SALONU
Muhteşem akustiği nedeniyle daha çok opera, bale ve senfonik orkestra çalışmalarında tercih
edilen salonda, 624 adet sabit koltuk bulunmaktadır. A. Adnan Saygun Salonu’nun sahnesi,
kültür merkezinin en geniş sahnesidir. Şirket toplantıları, konferans, panel ve söyleşilerin yanı
sıra tek kişilik gösterilerin sergilenebileceği salonun ses ve ışık sistemleri tüm etkinliklerin
profesyonelce yapılmasını sağlayacak kapasitededir.
YUNUS EMRE SALONU
Profesyonel bir donanıma sahip olan Yunus Emre Salonu’nda 652 adet sabit koltuk
bulunmaktadır. Kongreden tiyatro ve konsere, dans gösterisinden şirket toplantısına kadar
her türlü gösteri ve toplantı bu salonda düzenlenebilir.
TİYATRO SALONU
Tiyatro Salonu’nda 340 adet sabit koltuk bulunmaktadır. Diğer salonlarda gerçekleştirilen
tüm organizasyonlar bu salonda da yapılmaktadır.
SEMİNER ODALARI
Merkezin 1. katında 35 - 40’ar kişi kapasiteli toplam 3 seminer odası bulunmaktadır. Bu
odalar; eğitim seminerleri, dernek ve grup toplantıları, kongre çalışma grupları gibi çeşitli
organizasyonlara kusursuz hizmet verir.
SANAT GALERİSİ
Binanın giriş katında bulunan Sanat Galerisi 470 m2 alana sahiptir. Duvarlarında ki
aparatlarla istenilen ebatlardaki resimlerin asılabileceği gibi orta alana yerleştirilecek
Heykel - Seramik Sergileri, sanatseverlerin izlenimine zevkle sunulabilecek bir ortam
sağlayacaktır.
EGE SANAT SALONU
Merkezin zemin katında bulunan 87 m² alana sahip Ege Sanat Salonu’nda küçük çaplı sergiler
açılmaktadır.
EU Cultural Center, inaugurated on 05 January 1980, is the first cultural facility of its kind to be
opened in our city. The center serves Izmir and environs as an important facility where not only
cultural but also scientific events are held. The facility houses two large halls with a capacity
of 652 and 624, a 340-seat capacity theater hall, Ege Art Hall for small-size exhibitions, three
40-seat capacity seminar rooms, a 470 square meter art gallery and spacious lobbies that can
hold 800 people for receptions.
HALLS
AHMED ADNAN SAYGUN ART HALL
A. Adnan Saygun Art Hall, which has an audience capacity of 624 fixed seats, is preferred for
opera, ballet and symphonic orchestra performances due to its superb acoustic properties. The
stage is the largest in the cultural center. Suitable for corporate meetings, conferences, panels,
free- association interviews as well as one-man performances, the hall has an up-to-date light-
ing and sound infrastructure quite adequate for professional performances.
YUNUS EMRE HALL
Equipped with professional facilities, Yunus Emre Hall has a capacity of 652 fixed seats. The hall
is suitable for all kinds of activities from congresses to theater and concert performances and
from dance performances to corporate meetings.
THEATER HALL
The Theater Hall has a capacity of 340 fixed seats. Any activity suitable for the other halls can
be held here as well.
SEMINAR ROOMS
Located on the ground floor of the Center are 3 seminar rooms with a capacity of 35-40
seats each. They perfectly serve various organizations such as group meetings and congress
sessions.
ART GALLERY
The Art Gallery, which is located on the entrance floor of the building, has an area of 470 square
meters. It creates a pleasant environment for art lovers with wall apparatuses suitable for dis-
playing pictures of all sizes. Furthermore, works to be displayed in sculpture and ceramics exhibi-
tions can be placed in the middle of the gallery.
