Ulrich BARNICKEL
Ulrich Barnickel bir metal heykel sanatçısıdır. Başka malzemelerle çalışırken bile - ve böyle
yapmayı hiç ihmal etmez – geçmişinin metal heykelciliğinde olduğu açık olarak görülür. Bu
gereç, Barnikel’i de oldukça etkileyen İspanyol Julio González’in öncülüğünde 1930’lardan bu
yana tümüyle kabul görmüş bir anlatım biçimi olarak sanattaki yerini almıştır.
Ulrich Barnickel is a metal sculptor. His preference is for iron. Even when he works with other
materials – and he certainly does not neglect to do so – it is obvious that his background is in
metal sculpture. This medium has established itself as a fully-accepted means of expression since
the 1930s, with the Spaniard Julio González, a particular influence of Barnickel’s, being a pioneer.
