Graduated from Ege University in 1979, Ahmet İmançer received his MA degree from Dokuz
Eylül University in 1986, PhD degree at Ege University in 1993 and was appointed Assistant
Professor and the head of the Division of Photography and Graphics in 1993. The artist
wrote sections in books, published 45 scientific essays, 22 solo photograph exhibitions
and participated in 57 group exhibitions as well as 17 slide and multi-vision shows. His
21 photographs were bought and held in museums and private collections. He has won 23
awards on photography. He is a member of the organization committee and selection board
of the 3rd, 4th, 5th Ege Art Days, the 1st and 2nd Izmir Biennial and Ege University Culture
and Art Commission. He is also the president of EFSA (Association of Aegean Photography
andCinemaAmateurs)andamemberof İZDOF(IzmirAssociationofNaturePhotographers).
Ahmet İMANÇER, Lisans eğitimini Ege Üniversitesi’nde (1979),Yüksek Lisans öğrenimini
Dokuz Eylül Üniversitesi’nde (1986), doktora eğitimini ise Ege Üniversitesi’nde
(1993) tamamlamıştır. Akademik kitaplarda bölüm yazarlıkları, 45 bilimsel makalesi
bulunmaktadır. 22 kişisel fotoğraf sergisi açmış, 57 karma fotoğraf sergisine katılmış,
17 adet saydam ve mültivizyon gösterimi düzenlemiştir. 21 adet fotoğrafı müze ve
koleksiyonerler tarafından alınmıştır. Fotoğraf dalında 23 ödülü bulunan İMANÇER; Ege
Üniversitesi’nin düzenlemiş olduğu 3., 4. ve 5. “EgeArt Sanat Günleri” Sanat Danışma
Kurulu ve Seçici Kurul Üyeliği yapmıştır. 1. ve 2. İzmir Bienali seçici kurul üyesi Ege
Üniversitesi Kültür ve Sanat Danışma Kurulu seçici kurul üyesi Ege Fotoğraf ve Sinema
Amatörleri Derneği Başkanı ve (İZDOF) üyesidir.
