Born in Izmir, Ibrahim Çallı graduated from the School of Fine Arts in 1910. He worked at
Cormon Studio in Paris for four years. Upon his return to Turkey, he started teaching at the
School of Fine Arts. The artist created landscape, naturemort, portrait and composition
works of great value. He is also famous for his epigrams reflecting his great sense of humor.
İzmir’de doğdu.1910’da Sanayi-i Nefise Mektebi’nden mezun oldu. 4 yıl Paris Cormon
Atölyesinde çalıştı. Dönüşte Sanayi-i Nefise Mektebi’nde öğretmenliğe başladı. Peyzaj,
natürmort, portre ve kompozisyonlarda başarılı eserler vermiştir.Nükteleri ile de ünlü
bir sanatçımızdır.
