Arkeolojik bulgular 5000 yılı bulan tarihi geçmişi olan bir höyük ve onun üzerinde
Erken Hristiyan dönemden (5.-6. yüzyıl) 13. yüzyıl ortalarına değin büyüyerek
sürdürülmüş bir dini yaşamı ortaya koymaktadır. 2002 yılında bulunan ve bugün
Aydın Arkeoloji Müzesi’nde sergilenen Hitit üslubundaki bronz heykelcik ve Myken
dönemine ait kâse Kadıkalesi’nin İ.Ö. 2. bindeki önemine işaret ederler. Proto-
geometrik kaplardan başlayarak hemen her döneme ait seramikler de zengin örnekler

The archaeological findings revealed a tumulus that of 5000 years of history as well
as a medieval period from Early Christianity (5th -6th century) up until 13th century,
which is of religious in character. The bronze figurine in Hittite style found in excavation
campaign in 2002 and Mycenaean vessel (both are in Aydın Archaeological Museum)
points the importance of the settlement in 2nd millennium BC. Ceramic finds from each
period from proto-geometric period to Byzantine period present quite a rich collection.
In the excavation campaign of 2013, new annexes were added to the bishopric church of
Lascarids (1204-1261) as well as the new waste products of the potters who settled down
the area after the church was demolished. In this last campaign, the soundings carried out
