1951 yılında Bolvadin’de doğdu. 1974 yılında İstanbul Devlet Güzel Sanatlar Akademisi Yüksek
Resim Bölümü Prof. Adnan Çoker Atölyesi’nden mezun oldu. Aynı yıl Salzburg Yaz Akademisi
Prof. Mario Deluigu ile kolaj resimler yaptı. 1976 yılında İstanbul Resim ve Heykel Müzesi’nde ve
Akademi’de Öğretim Görevlisi olarak çalışmaya başladı. 1991 yılında bu görevden ayrıldı. Kısa
süre Yeditepe Üniversitesi’nde Öğretim Görevlisi olarak çalıştı. İstanbul’da 12, Ankara’da 4, İzmir,
Adana, Afyon ve Almanya- Düsseldorf’da birer olmak üzere, 20 kişisel sergi açmıştır. Türkiye’de
ve yurtdışı müzelerde yapıtları bulunan sanatçı, halen Yıldız Teknik Üniversitesi’nde Öğretim
Görevlisi’dir.
Born in 1951 in Bolvadin, the artist graduated from Istanbul State Academy of Fine Arts Department
of Advanced Painting Adnan Çoker Studio in 1974. He made paintings with Professor Mario Deluigu
at Salzburg Summer Academy the same year. He started to teach at Istanbul Museum of Painting
and Sculpture and also at the Academy in 1976, a teaching position he continued until 1991. He was
on the teaching staff of Yeditepe University for s short time. The arist has opened 20 solo exhibitions,
of which 12 were in Istanbul, 4 in Ankara, one each in Adana, Afyon, and Düsseldorf, Germany. The
artist, whose works are held in various museums in Turkey and abroad, currently works at Yıldız
Technical University as a lecturer.
